Creating a Global Installation Manual from the Ground Up
One language frequently featured in Cibes’ language pairs is Simplified Chinese. This is largely because half of Cibes’ R&D centers are located in China. As a result, many documents originate in Simplified Chinese and require translation into English or must be written in English from scratch.
It was against this backdrop that one of our first major projects for Cibes began: creating an installation manual for a new lift model from scratch. While Cibes’ engineers understood the process, translating that knowledge into clear, structured documentation presented a significant challenge.
Clearly Local responded quickly, sending an English native technical writer to Cibes’ factory in Jiaxing, China. In just one day, the writer observed a “perfect installation,” took photos, and began drafting the manual. Within a month, the first draft was ready. A few weeks later, the finalized manual was delivered in English, Bahasa, Vietnamese, Thai, and other languages.
